At Feel Funny CIC, we believe that humor is a powerful tool for personal growth. Our Stand-Up Comedy Courses are designed to foster confidence and build communication skills. Led by experienced comedian Ben Barker, our courses provide a supportive environment where participants can explore their comedic talents and enhance their public speaking abilities.
Psychological research has shown that Comedy can have positive physical effects on the human brain. It can decrease cortisol and produce dopamine, as well as releases large levels of serotonin, endorphins and good neuropeptides.
Studies have shown that Comedy can be a powerful tool for dealing with low-level trauma and grief (loss of a loved one, relationship breakdowns, loss of employment etc). It allows survivors to process their negative experiences in a less invasive manner, "reframing" the thoughts associated with their past in a healthy way through humour.
In fact, the NHS are currently trialling to see if Comedy could be "prescribed" as a potential alternative to pills for depression and anxiety, possibly lessening the reliance on mental health medication in future.
Become part of a vibrant community dedicated to laughter and personal development. Our courses are designed to inspire confidence and creativity. Don't miss the chance to step into the spotlight—sign up for our Stand-Up Comedy Courses now!
